Help
is not always money.
In fact, the most important help you can give us is to
spread the word about our rescue, and to give us your time.
Very often, we find ourselves short-handed, and we could always
use a helping hand. You do not need to know an awful lot
about horses -- you just need to be willing to work hard.
Help can be digging holes for fence posts. Help can be
weed-whacking. Help can be moving hay bales to the hay
loft. Help can be brushing and talking to our guys, just
so that they know they are loved. If you are an experienced
rider, help can be exercising or rehabilitating the horses.
If you have time to donate, we have chores you can do.
Consider sparing an hour or two to help improve the lives of

THAT BEING SAID...
SCR is
a non-profit organization that relies on fund raisers and donations
from people like you. All money donated is tax deductable
and goes towards the care of our animals. Make a difference

As we said before, help is not always money. Help can
also be assisting us raise funds or save money through rewards
programs with companies/organizations such as Agway, IGIVE.com
or Cartridges for Cash. For more information on these
rewards programs, click here.
Donations can also be supplies or equipment. SCR accepts
any equine no matter size, shape or breed. For that reason,
we need a large variety of equipment in good repair. Furthermore,
we take in all types of injuries, maladies and special needs,
so we have need for many supplies, including but not limited
to:
joint & hoof supplies
Strongid 2x daily dewormer
shavings
fly spray and masks
halters (break-away or safety halters preferably)
blankets
etc.
