Spotted Leopard Appaloosa
2002
Storm Cloud, or Pokey as we call him around the barn, is a flashy
leopard Appaloosa gelding with great movement. He can be timid,
but he learns quickly. When he came to us, he was not broke
to saddle, and had little "world experience". He was
difficult to catch, halter, flyspray, flymask, etc. But, with
quiet and gentle lessons he has learned quite a bit in
only a few months.
Pokey
now knows vocal commands, how to ground drive and is rideable
at the walk and trot. He has been calm and accepting of his
lessons so far. We're currently working on steering at a walk
and trot, moving off the leg, and learning to whoa (his favorite
gait!).
Pokey
found his forever home
with a great family who is willing to continue his education.
