Nicely-Nicely, known as Charlie (and later as Phoenix) around the barn, is a small Palomino gelding who is several hundred lbs underweight. He was abandoned without identification, so when he came to us, we didn't know much beyond his color, height and weight! Charlie came to SCR in desperate need of food, vet care (due to infection and circulatory issues) and farrier care.

Charlie was in our care for several months, and showed dramatic improvement thanks to the care of the barn staff, and the help and well wishes of the community!

This little guy found his forever home with a nice family - he taught their children the joys of horse ownership. Charlie will be missed.
