Red
Dun Quarter Horse
1997
Julie is a Quarter Horse mare that came to us when the state
determined that she and her 3 companions were being neglected.
At the time of arrival, Julie was pregnant. Julie has since
had the foal (a beautiful filly named Hope!), the foal has been
weaned, and Julie is now looking for a forever home.
Julie
is a sweet mare who loves attention. She does very well in turnout
situations with both mares or geldings, though she does tend
to be dominant. Julie has great ground manners, stands well
for the farrier and vet, and is 100% sound.
Julie
is well trained in Western, and is learning to be ridden English.
She has great movement, and would make a great hunter horse,
or western pleasure horse. However, it has been a while since
she worked, so she needs to be brought back slowly. She is out
of shape from her "maternity leave".
Julie found her forever home with a family who wants to use
her for pleasure and trail riding. We wish them the best of
luck together!
