Bay Thoroughbred mare
1994
BB Gold was born in Oklahoma, and from what we can tell, never
raced. We don't know what happened to get BB here on the east
coast, but she ended up in an auction, and eventually was donated
to SCR
BB is a sweet mare who has good ground manners...like most thoroughbreds,
she has her silly moments, but over all she is great to lead
and handle. She stands like a champ for the farrier and vet.
The only vice she has related to ground manners is tying - she
does not cross tie. However, she stands perfectly in the stall
to be groomed, tacked up, etc so we haven't found it to be an
unmanageable problem.
Under saddle, BB needs a strong rider. BB has poor work ethic,
so she is very resistant at the start of every work season.
A home with an indoor would be ideal, so she never gets out
of working mode.
BB
is a powerful, large mare who has a lot to give to the right
family. She would be a very rewarding project horse to the right
home.
